Essential Requirements for Quality Cancer Care

The quality of cancer care matters. The management of cancer care is complex and to achieve best results for the patient coordination and cooperation between disciplines is essential. Each profession brings unique skillsets and insights to the decision-making process on individualised patient treatment.

It is multidisciplinarity that ensures such teamwork occurs, and lies at the heart of ECCO’s guiding mission.

In order to advance the benefits that multidisciplinarity brings, ECCO is currently developing a series of charters that advocates for improvements in patient care, entitled ‘The Essential Requirements for Quality Cancer Care'.

ECCO essential requirements for primary care interventions throughout the cancer care continuum

Building up on the ECCO position statement on integrated cancer care and its Essential Requirements for Quality Cancer Care (ERQCC) project, ECCO will seek to define the essential requirements for primary care interventions throughout the cancer care pathway.
