Klaus Meier is CEO of the Department for Clinical and Hospital Pharmacy, HKK Soltau, Lower Saxony.
He holds a master of theology and pedagogics (1975), is a pharmacist since 1981, and obtained his clinical certification in 1989 and the oncology certification in 1995.
Klaus Meier has developed the QuapoS (Quality standard for Oncology Pharmacy Service); 5 editions have been published since 1996 in 27 languages. In 2009 he became a fellow of the EACS (European Academy for Cancer Sciences) and is acting as Vice-director at IFAHS (Institute for applied healthcare sciences).

In 1998 – 2000 he was President of the International Society of Oncology Pharmacy Practitioners (ISOPP). From 2008 to 2011 he was member of the board of directors of European CanCer Organisation (ECCO), and is currently President of the German Society for Oncology Pharmacy (DGOP) and of the European Society for Oncology Pharmacy (ESOP) which is accredited at EMA as HCPS (Health Care Professional Society).
Since 2007 Klaus Meier is the editor-in-chief of the EJOP (European Journal of Oncology Pharmacy).
